MilliporeSigma Student Engagement Event

MilliporeSigma is pleased to invite graduate students to a Student Engagement Event aimed to foster scientific exchange, career exploration, and direct interaction with industry scientists.

The event will begin with a plenary opening session featuring an overview of MilliporeSigma, insights into career pathways, and a keynote address by a special guest. Following a networking coffee break, students will participate in a poster session combined with lunch, providing an opportunity to present their research, engage in scientific discussions with MilliporeSigma employees, and connect with peers and professionals.

The poster session will conclude with an award ceremony recognizing outstanding posters, followed by small-group career breakout sessions with MilliporeSigma scientists.

Important Participation Expectations 

• Students must be available for the entire duration of the event to participate. 
• Registration does not guarantee participation. Due to limited space, the first 40 registrants for the event will be selected to take part. 
• Each student must RSVP individually, even if presenting a poster as part of a team. 
• If you are no longer able to attend for any reason, please notify our team as soon as possible so we can offer the opportunity to another student. 

Note on Poster Session: Any presenters participating as a team (maximum of 2 presenters per poster) must both register for the event. Individuals who are not registered will not be able to attend.

Event Agenda

9:00 – 9:30 a.m. | Registration: Arrival

9:30 – 10:15 a.m. | Opening Session (Auditorium): Welcome and overview

• Introduction to MilliporeSigma
• Overview of career opportunities
• Special guest remarks from Karen Madden, Chief Technology Officer

10:15 – 10:30 a.m. | Coffee Break: Networking

10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Poster Session, Lunch & Networking
Students will present research posters while engaging in scientific discussion with MilliporeSigma scientists and employees. Posters will be evaluated throughout the session. Lunch will be provided during this time.

1:30 – 2:00 p.m. | Award Ceremony & Closing Presentation Recognition of outstanding poster presentations and closing remarks.

2:00 – 4:00 p.m. | Career Breakout Sessions & Lab Tours
Small-group discussions with scientists; Informal, spontaneous lab tours will follow sessions.
