We are seeking innovative Electrical Engineering interns to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of defining design approaches and parameters, shaping the direction of our projects. You will be performing comprehensive system analyses to assess the feasibility of designs.

This position supports the Aviation Products business, including displays, navigation sensors, and SATCOM product lines. You will be embedded in a learning environment focused on electrical design tasks, including requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition, component selection, circuit simulation, schematic capture, board layout, product testing, and production line support. As an Electrical Engineer, you will conduct advanced simulations and collaborate with peers to conduct design reviews, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Your programming skills will also be used as you write scripts to control synthesis and build tools, optimizing our engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance and instruction of a Senior Electrical Engineer.
  • Participate in and conduct electrical design, test, and product integration across the Displays, Navigation, and Satcom Product Line
  • Interact with and support the production technicians, including troubleshooting product improvements.
  • Interact with and support the Test Engineering team with upgrades and modifications to test equipment.
  • Circuit analysis and board design using digital tools
  • Develop and/or maintain electrical design requirements and artifacts.
  • Opportunity to also work with Flight Data Recorder products.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in at least the 3rd year of Undergraduate Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge and/or experience with VHDL, MCM, HFSS, Network, Power, Analog, Antennas, Controls, ENE, RF, Photonics, Modem, EDA, DSP, MATLAB, Communication Systems, FPGA, Aerospace industry, or Optical Engineering
  • Knowledge of Code V and/or Zemax software tools
  • Knowledge of FRED, Matlab, Python
  • Knowledge of and/or understanding of circuit analysis and operational concepts
  • Familiarity with various computing environments (LINUX/Windows)
