We are seeking innovative Mechanical Engineering interns to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of defining design approaches and parameters, shaping the direction of our projects. You will be performing comprehensive system analyses to assess the feasibility of designs.

This position offers intern-level learning and responsibility across a broad range of Mechanical Engineering disciplines, including the design, testing, and product support of display avionics products. This position supports the Aviation Products business, including displays, navigation sensors, and SATCOM product lines. The position will be a learning environment focused on mechanical design tasks, including requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition, chassis and sub-assembly design, component selection, product testing, and production line support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance and instruction of an experienced Mechanical Engineer.
  • Participate in and conduct mechanical design, test, and product integration across the Displays, Navigation, and Satcom Product Line
  • Interact with and support the production technicians, including troubleshooting product improvements.
  • Chassis and Sub-Assembly design using digital tools (eg, Solidworks)
  • Develop and/or maintain mechanical design requirements and artifacts.
  • Opportunity to also work with Flight Data Recorder products.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in at least the 3rd year of the Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Curriculum.
