Merz Aesthetics is seeking motivated students to join our Research and Development (R&D) Energy-Based Devices (EBD) group for a hands-on, year-long internship starting October/November 2024. Work 15 – 20 hours per week in-person, with up to 40 hour per week in the summer, developing and troubleshooting ultrasonic therapy devices. This is a fantastic opportunity for Junior, Senior, or Graduate students to gain valuable, practical experience with ultrasonic therapy devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct bench testing of electrical hardware with electronic test equipment.
- Build and verify prototype circuits.
- Analyze experimental data and communicate findings to the technical team.
- Assist in system and component-level testing.
Preferred Education:
- Required:
- Electrical Engineering (Upper Division EE Courses)
- Preferred:
- Electrical Engineering Grad Student (Pursuing MSEE)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic circuit design skills
- Experience in PCB assembly and soldering
- Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, waveform generators, etc.)
- Ability to write reports and work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- FPGA programming
- PCB layout experience
- Familiarity with schematic capture software
