Regala is a startup building AI compliance and surveillance infrastructure for prediction markets. Our team includes Stanford founders and ex-Google/Amazon engineers. We’re backed by Pareto Holdings in addition to early investors in Kalshi and Polymarket.

We’re hiring a Full Stack Software Engineering Intern to help build core product infrastructure across our frontend, backend, data systems, and AI-powered compliance workflows.

What You’ll Work On

  • Building and shipping full stack features across our web application and internal tools
  • Developing clean, reliable frontend interfaces for compliance monitoring, market surveillance, and operational workflows
  • Designing and implementing backend APIs, services, and data pipelines
  • Working with AI models and automation systems to support compliance review and risk detection
  • Improving engineering velocity through better tooling, testing, observability, and deployment workflows
  • Collaborating directly with founders, engineers, and users to turn product requirements into shipped software

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to write clean, maintainable code
  • Experience building full stack applications using modern frontend and backend frameworks
  • Comfortable working across the stack, from UI implementation to APIs, databases, and infrastructure
  • Strong execution ability and willingness to move quickly in an early-stage startup environment
  • Available to relocate to San Francisco for the summer

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior experience at an early-stage startup
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with AI/ML APIs, LLM workflows, data engineering, or financial/trading systems
  • High agency and ownership mindset
  • Thoughtful perspectives on prediction markets, compliance, fintech, or market structure
