TALD is seeking a Generative AI Developer Intern who is excited by the intersection of AI, product, and consumer technology. This role is ideal for a college student who spends time experimenting with emerging AI tools, building side projects, and thinking about how large language models will reshape digital experiences.

You’ll work closely with TALD’s leadership and technical team to help explore, prototype, and implement AI-powered features across the platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in building and testing AI-powered product features and workflows
  • Explore applications of large language models across search, matching, onboarding, recommendations, and customer experience
  • Prototype internal tools and lightweight AI experiences
  • Research emerging AI tools, APIs, and product trends
  • Support prompt engineering and workflow optimization
  • Help identify opportunities to automate operational and content-related tasks using AI
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering on future-facing platform initiatives
  • Test and QA AI features for usability, reliability, and output quality

Qualifications

  • Current college student studying computer science, engineering, data science, mathematics, or a related field
  • Familiarity with generative AI platforms and APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, LangChain, Pinecone, or similar tools
  • Basic programming experience in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Strong curiosity around AI products and consumer applications
  • Comfortable learning quickly and experimenting independently
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Bonus Points

  • Experience building AI side projects, agents, chatbots, or automations
  • Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval systems
  • Experience using tools like Cursor, Replit, Vercel, Supabase, or Firebase
  • Interest in marketplaces, consumer startups, or design technology
  • Understanding of prompt engineering and conversational UX
