About the Program:

Join Wing’s 12-week paid summer internship! This is a hybrid, in-person program based in Palo Alto, CA, with start dates in May or June. Eligible candidates must be a current student enrolled in a degree program and intend to return to the program after the completion of the summer internship.

About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Simulation Software Engineer Intern to join our Simulation Team based in Palo Alto, CA.

Our team develops tools that enable engineers to develop, test and deploy features efficiently and at scale. Our work spans vehicle physics and sensor modeling, large-scale simulation frameworks, test infrastructure for backend verification, and integrated avionics and system testing. Our team is dedicated to ensuring simulation is the fastest and most reliable way to test changes to our system and introduce new features.

In this role, you will:

  • Improve the fidelity and usability of system level simulations by analyzing real world data and incorporating additional signals into simulation tools.
  • Design and build automated CI/CD pipelines and analysis tools that execute millions of simulation scenarios daily, helping to automatically detect performance regressions and validate system safety.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to design and run simulation experiments, enabling rapid testing and iteration on new delivery system features.

What You’ll Need:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, graduating between December 2026 and August 2027
  • Demonstrated engineering experience from past internships, academic projects, or extracurricular activities
  • Experience with C++

This is your chance to:

  • Leverage massive real-world datasets to directly influence engineering development workflows.
  • Make a measurable impact on Wing’s ability to scale our operations more rapidly, at the forefront of the rapidly growing drone delivery industry.
